Northrop Grumman is a major U.S. defense contractor that likewise became a player in intelligence contracting with its acquisition of the intelligence firm Xetron in 1996. Both Aaron Barr and Ted Vera worked at NG before moving on to HBGary in 2008.
Between 2008 and 2011, and perhaps for a longer period, Northrop Grumman held the contract for Romas/COIN, a multi-faceted surveillance and data mining capability overseen by an unknown U.S. agency. TASC, which had existed under Northrop's umbrella until 2008, partnered with HBGary Federal and other firms to win the Romas/COIN contract upon its renewal.
Kudos to you! I hadn't tohguht of that!
