MAGPII

MAGPII (short for Magnifying Personally Identifying Information) was a pet project of Aaron Barr at HBGary which may have involved harvesting personal information (Barr's diagram) from social media sites and mobile web usage. Barr pitched the idea to TASC personnel including Al Pisani, Jerry Howe, and Shawn O'Brien and had also approached OSD scientist Irving Lachow about funding, where he pitched MAGPII as "a complete commercial operation".

Details in the leaked emails are sparse and it is possible that MAGPII never existed outside Barr's own mind. HBGary developer Mark Trynor expressed doubts about the program's viability.
