Federal Data Corporation is a firm of possible interest to Operation Metal Gear by virtue of its connection to Wylie Laboratories through Tom Anderson, who once "held key leadership positions" with FDC in addition to his role with Northrop Grumman, another entity of interest.

Tom Anderson serves as group president of Wyle's Information Systems Group. Headquartered in McLean, Va. Anderson has held senior positions with major government information system providers including CSC, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman and Federal Data Corporation. Prior to joining Wyle, Anderson served as president of CSC's Civil and Health Services Group in the company's North American Public Sector. At CSC, he directed work for all federal civilian agency work, various state and local organizations, the company's health services practice and Canadian public sector activities. Previously, he served as vice president at Raytheon Information Solutions, where he led the establishment of a framework for coordination of the company's disparate federal government information technology offerings. Earlier, Anderson oversaw strategic programs for Northrop Grumman Information Technology and held key leadership positions with Federal Data Corporation and Boeing Computer Services.
